CNY Pipeworx awarded $15,000 micro enterprise grant

The Oneida County Executive awarded CNY Pipeworx a $15,000 micro enterprise grant in July.

These grants are given to small businesses on the cutting edge of technology. CNY Pipeworx builds geothermal heating systems and its owner, Dave Dousharm, says he was excited to learn his company would receive this grant.

"We knew we would be able to move forward with a project that this area definitely needs - to be able to push technology like this and educate consumers that there are things like this out there," Dousharm said.

He says he plans to use the money to train their employees and buy software and equipment for installing the geothermal units.
